Fly tipping: The movie

Residents in Hill Top have terrible trouble with fly tippers, but as their access road is private property the council aren’t that keen to help. Two recent suspicious fires in the area don’t seem to have made much difference.

Sometimes it’s better to show rather than to tell.

  1. Well done Adrian !

How about bringing back genuine ‘Rag and Bone Men’ ?

with the street cry ‘Old iron & lumber’ and of course a hand bell.

  2. I guess its the usual case with those sort of back lanes that they’re owned by the freeholders of the houses they serve, in other words private property and its absolutely set in stone that local councils “cant spend public money on private property”. Subject to one or two minor exceptions and fly-tipping isn’t one of them.
